In January 2013, Django has translated the messages of Hanafuda Koikoi, a Japanese cards game, published in 1984 by RAM. At the moment, this translation is only available on his blog, it includes the GDX fixes to remove a dangerous bug that could kill the PSG on some old MSX1 computers.

Super Cooks is a parodic version of Golvellius, published in 1989 by Compile on the Disc Station Special 2. In January 2013, Django has translated the 1st disk of the game. At the moment, this translation is only available on his blog and does not include the 2nd disk, mainly used for the savings.

Super Cooks is a parodic version of Golvellius, published in 1989 by Compile on the Disc Station Special 2. Only the 1st disk can be found easily, but there’s a 2nd disk, mainly used for the savings. MSX blue corrects this situation, here’s the full game !

About the savings : use F1. They can’t be loaded normally, you need to lose (GAME OVER), then to select the option DISK LOAD CONTINUE. Other useful keys : cursors (moves) – SPACE (shoot) – SHIFT (selection of another weapon) – SPACE + SHIFT (different using of weapon) – F2 (status) – STOP (pause).

The French coder Eric Boez has published Treasure Of Babylon, a puzzle game for turboR in MSX-BASIC and screen 10, with stereo Moonblaster songs (MSX-MUSIC + MSX-AUDIO). To find the treasure of Babylon, you must collect all the gems and avoid some traps in 25 levels !

A new game has been added on the Japanese website 超人MSX : Yn. It’s a RPG, obviously inspired by YS1 (Ancient Ys Vanished Omen). Save again the world from evil forces by destroying the devil’s tower !

Here’s Buster Block, an action game, published in 1985 by Kuma on tape format and inspired by 2 BBC Micro games, Pingu and Rubble Trouble. You must kill many monsters in a giant maze of 400 rooms, this by pushing blocks to crush them before they make the same against you !

As you can see it, the keyboard commands are strange, but you can redefine them with the K key. I recommend the cursors for the moves and the spacebar for pushing blocks.

The game is provided in DSK, CAS and ROM versions (mapper : Konami SCC). The universal poke has been added, so it will work on any MSX generation (with exception for the MSX2 Korean machines). You need to press on CTRL when booting to run the CAS and DSK versions.

Deep Forest is an adventure game published in 1987 by Xain. After a partial translation in 2010, Django has continued and improved his work in January 2013 to make a full translation. At the moment, this version 2 is only available on his blog (in free download since 16 May 2013). Mapper : ASCII8.
