This game is great to run on turboR. Generating the graphics only takes 21 seconds there, instead of 2:10! And the game does run a lot smoother.

The only small problem is that there is a small bug in teh program: it first does WIDTH40 and then SCREEN0. This should be reversed, otherwise it won’t work on MSX machines which boot in SCREEN 1.

An error generally made by European coders (also in demos). In the eighties, it was “normal” as no-one knew that Japanese machines boot in SCREEEN 1. But we have now a wide choice of emulators, so it’s very simple to make tests on different machines.

Also a good rule for coding in BASIC is to use the sequence SCREEN0:WIDTH40 (or 80) in the beginning of a game.
