Macadam Bumper, published in 1985 by Sony, is a pinball game that works correctly only on an European MSX1 (keyboard problems). GDX has worked very hard to create a version that can be runned on any MSX machine. You will notice that I’ve added the intro screen that was lost in the conversion from Spectrum to MSX. The online tool “MSX Screen Conversor” of Rafael Jannone has been very useful !

First reconfigure the keys before playing ! No ROM version for this game, as it allows to save customised pinballs !

Taken from WOS: First press C to put a coin in the machine. Each coin gives you 5 balls. Now press N up to 4 times to give up to 4 players. A ball will now appear on the launcher. Pressing both flipper keys together will pull back the launcher and releasing the keys will eject the ball and you’re playing Macadam Bumper!

Good work, GDX! Thanks for the post too!
For the English MSX version, N is replaced by S.
For the French MSX version, C is replaced by P and N is replaced by D.
As many default keys are not the best options to play, it’s better to first reconfigure the keys !!! You will discover that default flipper keys are GRAPH and CODE/KANA ….
Merci Mars2000, Tu as bien fait l’ajouter L’écran de présentation.
Great game! I remember that I played this game in the 80′s, but in the PC version. I think it was revolutionary because the well-made gravity of the ball, his good graphics and the pinball customization, but I didn’t know it has a MSX version too.
By the way, this is a good version for the MSX system, not as good as the original PC version, but still rocks. A good alternative for Rollerball, the pinball from Hal Laboratory.
