Zippy Race
UPDATED ON 28/01/10 – From now on, MSX blue will give you access to get more easily patched games, concerning conversions, translations or improvements of the original game. Following the cases, to take in account different sensitivities in the world of the MSX coders, you will be able to download them or to receive them by mail.
We find indeed absurd excessive attitudes of prudence for games released on a system that is no more marketed since almost 20 years. The best example that you don’t need to create problems where they are not present is the fact that even Konami has never protested against the English versions of Metal Gear 2, available on the Net since so many years !
What concerns the IPS patches, they are source of many problems : not everyone has the patience or the skill to apply them correctly with an utility without any default. Besides, when there are many dumps of the same game, the patch does not always work or you come to a situation with several converted files in stead of one unique file used by everybody !
We begin with Zippy Race, a game released on SG-1000, a Sega console very close to the MSX1 computer. hap, author of the meisei emulator, has created in 2007 a conversion for our beloved system !
