UPDATE 07/08/12 : The ROM version was not playable on TurboR (too fast game). It’s now fixed.
UPDATE 27/07/12 : I had forgotten to translate a phrase in the instructions, Django cared about that and took the opportunity to translate in good French all the text displayed in the game itself.
In 1985, PSS has published this Spectrum conversion on tape format. It has then been released by Microcabin and a Spanish version has been distributed by Sony. After having added the intro screen and removed the useless Philips poke from the DSK version, I’ve used the excellent DSK2ROM tool of Vincent van Dam to get a ROM version that works on any MSX generation. The online tool “MSX Screen Conversor” of Rafael Jannone has been very useful !
I took the opportunity to make a French translation of the intro and the end. You will notice that the game itself in the English and Spanish versions is as it has been conceived, what means a strange mix English – approximative French. There are 2 versions of the game, the hero being the Pink Panther or a Mexican thief.
