Nemesis PSG (Brazilian DSK Version)

Nemesis (or Gradius) is a famous Konami game, published in 1986. It has been distributed on disk in Brazil in 1989 by the Nemesis Informática company. Here’s a version reworked in 2005 by A&L Soft, you need only 64 Kb RAM to run it and a cheat menu is included (press SPACE while booting to access to this menu).

For more fun, MSX blue has created a file with also alternative versions for the Twinbee mode and/or using of modified passwords, especially for the specific HYPER mode for each stage !

Zorax

Zorax is a fast Brazilian shooter published in 1990 by Discovery Informática. The original version was only working with Brazilian drives, but in 1997, A&L Soft has released a more universal version. Unfortunaly, bugs don’t allow to play normally stage 2 and stages 4 to 10 : any collision in stage 2 leads you directly to stage 3, boss of stage 2 is absent, the game hangs after having defeated boss of stage 3.

There’s still a partial solution : create a modified version with ZORAX.F00 renamed as ZORAX.T00 and
ZORAX.F02 renamed as ZORAX.F00. Use the unmodified version for the 3 first levels (attention ! you need the invulnerability cheat for stage 2), then the modified version for the other levels.

For your comfort, I’ve created a package with the unmodified version and the modified version. Visit the More/Cheats section for more screenshots and the absolutely required invulnerability cheat !

Zaxxon (Disprosoft)

Everybody knows Zaxxon, the shoot-’em-up published in 1985 by Pony Canyon. It’s actually a reworked version of the game. In 1987, the Brazilian company Disprosoft has published a Portuguese version only on tape. This version was working only on MSX1. In 2009, Paulo Maluf has created a WAV file that has been converted to the CAS format by Wilson Pilon. I’ve added the ‘universal poke’ and the game works now on any MSX1, MSX2 and MSX2+, with exception of the MSX2 Korean.

For an universal version (also for MSX2 Korean and MSXturboR), use the ROM version created by Wilson Pilon. However, it comes without the special intro screen.

I’ve created another ROM version (mapper : Konami SCC) that includes this intro screen. It is actually based on the DSK version of Wilson Pilon, improved with the addition of the ‘universal poke’.
